Downton Abbey
In the months separating us from the next series of Game of Thrones, I have recently revisited another great series—Downton Abbey. Set in the early 1900s and starring the likes of Hugh Bonneville, Maggie Smith and Jim Carter, I am not ashamed to say that I watched the entirety of series one and two in the space of three days while my husband was overseas. I then rushed out to the buy series three and finished off the final episode in tears of sadness and fury. I’ll just have to wait for series four to see whether they can make up for that plot point.
Full of drama, tragedy, humour and great characters (including the house itself), this is a program I can easily watch again and again. If you haven’t delved into it yet, do so. You won’t be disappointed. There’s enough tea to go round!
