The sequel to Equilibrium, The Progeny is set in the years following the Great War of 369 TE.

The victorious Ronnesians, intent on securing their dominance in Leith, are close to tracking down the only known heir to the Ayon throne, the exiled Prince Nildemar. However, they are unaware of a more direct line of succession. Assisted by the dead King’s most powerful lieutenant and advisor, the heir is plotting to overthrow the Ronnesian occupation and regain control of both crown and country.

However, just as they are planning their invasion, a greater threat becomes apparent and they get swept up with it. They quickly realise that they are no match for this new menace and will have to turn to the most unlikely of allies—their enemies.
