Where’s My Whisper?
Come on an adventure with Charlie as he turns his house upside down in search of something that is grey, white, orange, stripy, spotty, fluffy and has a long, long tail.
This is a very exciting moment for myself and the team at Anomaly Software. Where’s My Whisper? is finally available for download from the App Store! The journey getting here has been unforgettable and the end result is a product we are all immensely proud of.
What makes Where’s My Whisper? an incredible interactive app for children? Where to start?
Caroline Attia has lent her art to many great projects in her home country of France and we are thrilled to have her onboard. There’s something beautifully unique about her style that really works for this story but, like many pieces of art, a picture says a thousand words. Take a look at her website or check out some of the preview screenshots on the App Store. You’ll see what I mean.
Sarah Jeanne Ziegler came into this project fairly late in the developing process but her music really does feel like the icing on the cake. With a mixture of ukulele strumming and plucking, electric guitar, humming, singing, a variety of interesting percussion instruments and even whistling, Sarah has managed to create the perfect soundtrack. The main theme will get stuck in your head, in a good way!
Yes, but what about the software itself? Well, in this great children’s app, you—the reader—have control over the art. ‘Wait, what? How is that possible?’ you may wonder. Well, thanks to some great ideas from the team, you have the opportunity to dictate the weather and time of day the story is set. Want Charlie to go outside and discover it’s snowing? Can do! Do you want mist and sunshine? Done. Do you want a perfectly cloudless night? There you go. You can even tell the app to detect and mimic your own local weather forecast! Try out all the options and watch the artwork change!
But that’s not all. The app also gives you the ability to turn narration on and off. Let me do the reading for you or take up the reins of master storyteller yourself! It’s your choice.
