I have very rarely seen these two mixed up but since this pair, like many in the English language, sound exactly the same, I thought I\u2019d just make a brief note about them.<\/p>\n
phase (noun)\u2014a stage in the development of something<\/p>\n
\n On Thursday, we moved onto the third phase of the experiment.<\/em><\/p>\n
\u2018Don\u2019t worry about Sally. It\u2019s just a phase. She\u2019ll get over it.\u2019<\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
phase (verb)\u2014to complete something in gradual states<\/p>\n
\n The course is being phased over three years.<\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
faze (verb)\u2014to be disconcerted or concerned about something<\/p>\n
\n The gradient of the slope didn\u2019t seem to faze the skiers.<\/em><\/p>\n
She was fazed by the number of judges watching her as she walked onto the stage.<\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
