Hey, I was only six!<\/p>\n<p>It might be the case that the mistaken use of <em>alot<\/em> is down to the word <em>allot<\/em> looking so similar. However, since <em>allot<\/em> means to distribute or give out portions of something, there\u2019s no reasonable explanation for the presence of <em>alot<\/em> at all.
