For example:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n  <em>I neatly stacked my books all together in the middle of the room.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>  <em>The team walked out onto the pitch all together.<\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Note that the phrase <em>all together<\/em> can be split up.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n  <em>I stacked all my books together in the middle of the room.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>  <em>The team all walked out onto the pitch together.<\/em>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Just like with <a href=\"\/journal\/notes\/the-difference-between-already-and-all-ready\/\">already and all ready<\/a>, if you can remove the <em>all<\/em> from the sentence without damaging the meaning, then <em>all together<\/em> is the correct phrase to use. Such as; &#8216;The team walked out onto the pitch together&#8217;. If your sentence ends up sounding something like this, though, &#8216;Garrus was together too tired to accompany Commander Shepard on the next mission&#8217;, which makes no sense, then <em>altogether<\/em> is the correct term to use.<\/p>\n<p>Good luck!
